Hi, I'm Chris.

I've spent 29 years working in restaurants, 20 of them as an owner.

For the first time in my career, I think something has come along that can fundamentally change life and business for restaurant owners. And I’m here to share it with you.

I started in restaurants as a teenager. I continued through college.

Chris Cusack

My dad was an entrepreneur and a working musician, so starting a business never seemed particularly unusual to me. After a few career false-starts, I sweat-equitied my way into a coffee shop in 2006.

Within a year, I took over operations of a second location. My first full-service restaurant came in 2010.

Since then, I've founded or co-owned ten restaurants, invested in others, consulted on plenty, and I still own and operate restaurants today.

I've also screwed a lot of things up.

At one point, I opened three independent full-service restaurants within 60 days. I went from 80 employees to over 500.

Too fast. Too soon.

I learned finance the expensive way. I restructured businesses, closed some, sold others, and came close to starting over.

But over the years, something else happened.

I got very familiar with the problems.

Labor. Food cost. Payroll. Hiring. Pricing. Scheduling. Vendors. Cash flow. Marketing. Managers. Software. Spreadsheets. The hundred little things you're supposed to be watching while you're busy actually running a restaurant.

I got better at all of it.

But I never stopped feeling like there should be a better way to do some of it.

Then something changed.

I started using AI in my restaurants in 2023.

At first, it wasn't revolutionary. It helped me write and organize things I was already doing.

Then I had it build a report that checked the previous day's punches against the schedule. I couldn’t believe my scheduler or POS didn’t make that report out of the box.

I checked its work. It was right.

That got my attention.

So I kept pushing.

In January 2026, I built a labor budgeting system around it.

Before that, I was doing the work manually. Pull the labor. Enter the hours. Compare budgeted against scheduled against actual. I did it constantly because I wanted the number to be right.

Then I automated it.

Between two payrolls, our labor dropped 14%.

The work that had taken me hours now took about 30 seconds.

And that's when this became something different for me.

I had spent twenty years as an owner learning these problems the hard way. Suddenly, I had a completely new way to solve them.

So I started asking a different question:

What else am I doing as an owner that I shouldn't have to do anymore?

That question turned into All Day.

The deeper I get into it, the more convinced I become that restaurants are unusually well positioned for what's coming.

I think we are living in the most exciting moment in the history of restaurants since the invention of the POS, the gas range, … or sliced bread, for that matter.

Restaurant owners are already good at a lot of the hard stuff.

We know our food. We know our restaurants. We take care of people. We solve problems all day long. We're resourceful because we've had to be.

Where a lot of us struggle is everything behind the scenes.

The spreadsheets. The bookkeeping. The scheduling. The analysis. The emails. The follow-up. The pile of things you know you need to get to when you finally have time.

And you never have time.

We're spread thin.

Most independent restaurant owners don't have a finance department, a data analyst, a marketing team, an executive assistant, and a dozen specialists sitting down the hall.

A lot of the time, it's just us.

That's why I think AI matters so much for small business owners.

For the first time, we can have access to capabilities that used to belong mostly to much larger companies.

AI can organize the things we don't have time to organize. Watch the things we don't have time to watch. Find problems we would have found eventually and put them in front of us today.

It can give us back time to do the things we're actually good at.

And I think restaurants may have more to gain from that than most.

For most of my career, we've paid too much for software, stitched together systems that don't talk to each other, and gotten our own data handed back to us in whatever form someone else decided we should have it.

Now the balance is starting to shift.

A great independent restaurant shouldn't need a corporate back office just to have the information and organization of one.

This can level the playing field.

And this is where my 20 years as an owner and the last few years obsessing over AI finally come together.

I'm not trying to tell restaurant owners what AI might be able to do someday.

I'm using it in my restaurants now.

Real payroll. Real schedules. Real invoices. Real P&Ls. Real employees. Real money.

I know the difference between a cool demo and something an owner will actually use every day.

And when I work with another owner, AI isn't automatically the answer.

Sometimes the problem is labor. Sometimes it's pricing, operations, management, marketing, food cost, or something that should have been fixed six months ago.

The technology is new.

The problems aren't.

I've spent 29 years learning these problems and 20 years dealing with them as an owner.

Now I have tools I couldn't have imagined having when I started.

You almost certainly have opportunities sitting inside your restaurant right now that you don't know are there.

Money you're spending that you don't need to spend. Work you're doing that you don't need to do. And things you already know need attention, but haven't made it to the top of the list yet.

That's not because you're bad at this.

It's because there has never been enough time to watch everything.

Now there can be.

That's what I want to show you.

I built a free assessment around the same question I started asking in my own restaurants:

Where can AI help you make money, save money, or get your time back?

Not someday. In the restaurant you're running right now.

Give me a few minutes and some basic information about your business. I'll show you where I'd start.
