About All Day

What is All Day, and who is it for?

All Day is practical AI for restaurant owner-operators, from an owner-operator. The newsletter is free: tools, walkthroughs, and tips you can apply right now. Start with the free review and see where AI can make you money, save you money, and give you your time back. When you're ready for more, there's the Assessment and the 45-day Install.

Do I need Toast?

No, but Toast and Square connect to AI directly through an MCP connector (here's the Toast walkthrough). With any other POS, Claude and ChatGPT work in the browser the way you do, logged in as read-only.

Do I need to be technical?

Not at all. If you can open an email, read a spreadsheet, and run a restaurant, you're more than capable of running these tools.

I tried AI once and it didn't stick.

Depending on when and what you were doing, things have come a long way in a short amount of time. Besides, now you know me, and I’ll make it stick.

Trust

Is my data safe?

The tools run in your own account, read-only, and I never see your data. For the Assessment and the Install you add me as a read-only user in Toast or Square, or we work in your browser together on the call, and you take the access back when we're done. Your numbers are never used as an example without your name off and your yes. That said, after 20 years in the restaurant business, no number surprises me.

I heard AI can hallucinate. Will that cause problems in my restaurant?

Only when it's guessing, and it guesses the same way a new hire does on day one: it fills the gap with what makes sense from what it has. Connect it to your numbers and make it show where each figure came from. Every tool here works with direct and specific instructions. The free intro class teaches you how to get started.

Do I have to reply to reviews?

No. The review responder writes drafts and you approve or ignore them. Whether you reply at all is your call.

What it costs

What is free and what is paid?

Most of the content on All Day is free. My team and I are constantly looking for ways to help restaurateurs improve their businesses with AI for free. We send a weekly email, and in the newsletter and on Instagram we regularly post free tools. As a restaurant owner myself, it's important to me to provide value to as many other owners as I possibly can. These tools have changed my business, and I know they can do the same for you.

What's paid: the Assessment, a very thorough review of your restaurant, at $499, and the full 45-day Install at $3,999. Soon our Skool community will have paid access as well.

Is there a guarantee?

On the Assessment, yes. Fill in the intake and sit the hour, and if the plan doesn't show you at least one opportunity worth more than $499 a year on your own numbers, I refund the $499.

The free class

What is the five-day class, and how long does a day take?

An e-mail a day for five days, about ten minutes each. Day 0 gets Claude or ChatGPT set up (about 30 minutes, most of it waiting on downloads). Days 1 to 4 teach it your restaurant, your house facts, the skills you already wrote, and your numbers. Day 5 you run Punch Check on your own timecards. Start the class here.

What do I need before Day 0?

A paid Claude or ChatGPT account, its desktop app, and either admin access to your POS or a way to export a report from it. Day 0 walks you through the rest.

The community

Is there a community?

We're building it right now and looking forward to introducing it: two live calls a week. Join the newsletter and you'll hear it there first.

The Assessment and the Install

What is the free review, and what comes back?

The form takes about 60 seconds. You get a written review of your restaurant: where AI can make you money, save you money, or give you your time back, across labor, purchasing, reviews and your Google profile, and your website. It's built from your answers and what I find about the restaurant, and it comes to your inbox from me.

What is the estimate based on?

Your numbers from the form and the intake, run through the method I use on my own stores. The method prints next to every figure so you can redo the arithmetic yourself. It shows you where the money is and how I got the number. What you do with it is yours.

How much of the form do I have to fill in?

All of it, if you want the review to say something. The more you give it, the better it works. A rough guess on the percentages beats a blank.

What happens after the Assessment?

The Install. Forty-five days, done with you: a food-cost and labor control system on your tools, two or three chores automated, and a weekly money scoreboard against your baseline. $3,999. Currently we're limiting it to 10 Installs at a time. Start within 14 days of your Assessment call and the $499 you paid comes off: $3,500. You can also skip the Assessment and go straight in, run the tools yourself, or wait for the community.

What if there is no time that works for me?

Open times are on the Assessment page, under the price. If none of them work, reply to the confirmation email and I'll open one.

Does the $499 count toward the Install?

Yes. Start within 14 days of your Assessment call and it comes off: $3,500.

I have more than one location.

The Install covers one location. Locations two through four are $1,500 more each. More than four, email [email protected].
